Overview:

The Director of Cargo Sales will play a major senior leadership role in GlobalX, developing the new cargo sales department as GlobalX brings A321 converted freighters and eventually A330 converted freighters into its fleet.

This role is ideal for a dynamic, senior airline/ cargo global sales leader who can lead and develop a diverse, global team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and build relationships initially with new and later existing customers through sales calls, managing RFPs and proposals, and making formal presentations to clients.
  • Foster strong relationships with accounts by providing solutions to meet customer needs, conducting regular account analysis, and addressing any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Developing a strong sales plan for A320/A321 and A330 converted freighters.
  • Strong knowledge in narrow body and wide body cargo operations and sales.
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up, outbound calls, trade conferences, emails, and other outreach programs as dictated by business needs.
  • Identify new markets for market share growth by remaining current on industry trends, local market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Attend and participate in conferences, exhibits, and trade shows to promote GlobalX services and generate leads.
  • Hire, train and develop and continually evaluate a sales team focused on short- and long-term ACMI cargo contracts.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Load Control, and Cargo Department to help ensure new and existing customers benefit from a seamless sale to service experience.
  • Provide feedback on departmental process and assist in developing future planning goals and objectives for the sales department that are achievable and realistic, and that complement the company’s growth strategy.
  • Reporting to the CEO, brief frequently on department progress, sales, possible leads, and contracts.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience at leadership level managing a large Cargo Department Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • In-depth air cargo knowledge and experience in operations, sales, account management and technology enablement
  • 10+ years of experience in Aviation and Cargo
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations Master’s Degree preferred.
